My photography work began in 2002 with my fascination of graffiti. The deliberate covering
of surfaces with personal and community messages, propaganda and advertisements adorns walls throughout the world. Each day these surfaces are transformed with the addition or removal of information creating accidental collages. Photography allows me to capture these ever-changing surfaces. Each view is unique. No tear or drip is ever the same. The subtlety of the paper’s texture, the harshness of the tear, and surface to which all is applied create rich images with depth and cultural history. |
